2025 STAR WARS: THE HIGH REPUBLIC COMMENT-TO-ENTER SWEEPSTAKES – OFFICIAL RULES

This promotion (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by The Walt Disney Company (“Sponsor”), 500 South Buena Vista Street, Burbank, California 91521.
The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and older and the age of majority in their state of legal residence as of April 15, 2025.
Any employees, consultants, and independent contractors of Sponsor, or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Sweepstakes or supplying a prize, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals are not eligible to enter or win. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3) months a year. Offer void outside the United States and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
Each entrant in the Sweepstakes must be the rightful holder of the Instagram account used to post the Entry and have the Instagram messaging feature turned on. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the holder of the Instagram account, the holder will be deemed to be the person who owns the account according to Instagram’s records. The Instagram account must be opened prior to the commencement of the Sweepstakes.
ENTRY METHOD
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
To enter, you must have an Instagram account and during the Entry Period post a “Comment” on the designated post on www.instagram.com/disneybooks announcing the Sweepstakes with the requested hashtag and who your favorite Star Wars character is. You must include the hashtag #THRSweepstakesEntry as part of your Comment to complete your entry (“Entry”). You will then automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes. If your Entry deviates in any way from the above requirements, you may be disqualified without notice. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Entry Period, defined below. You may Comment multiple times, but only your first Comment will be considered as an Entry. If you delete your Entry before the end of the Entry Period, you may be disqualified without notice.
Comments may be reviewed and we reserve the right to request removal of or disqualify the following types of Entries without notice: abusive, harassing, threatening or attacking others; defamatory, offensive, obscene, vulgar or depicting violence; hateful in language targeting race/ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality or political beliefs; deliberate disruption of discussion (e.g., trolling); violations of intellectual property rights; spamming; commercial solicitation or solicitation of donations; and link baiting (embedding a link in your comment to draw traffic to your own site).
ENTRY PERIOD
The Sweepstakes will commence on April 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM (ET). The last entry will be accepted April 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM (ET) (“Entry Period”). Comments after this time do not count as entries.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
Five (5) potential winners will be selected by a random drawing from among the eligible Entries made during the Entry Period. Potential winners will be chosen by random draw no later than May 10th, 2025. Potential winners will be notified through a private message sent via the Message feature on their Instagram page and will be required to provide a mailing address to Sponsor by return message. Failure to respond to the initial verification phone call and/or email within forty-eight (48) hours after initial notification to the potential winner or return of the email notification as undeliverable after two (2) attempts may result in disqualification and award of the Prize (as defined below) to an alternate winner. Potential winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit or Declaration of Eligibility and Release (the “Affidavit”). If a potential winner does not respond or return the Affidavit, if requested, within seven (7) days of delivery the Prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be chosen. Sponsor is under no obligation to publicly announce winners or their Comments.
Final determination of the winners is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules and procedures.

Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of all Prizes: $739.55
The Prizes will be awarded, provided there are a sufficient number of eligible Entries. There is no substitution for any Prize. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. In the event that a prize is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a cash payment of equal or greater value for any prize that has a retail value. If the actual value of a prize is less than the stated estimated retail value, the difference will not be awarded. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of each winner.
CONDITIONS
The Sweepstakes is governed by all applicable federal, state and local laws, and by these Official Rules. By participating, entrants affirm that they have read these Official Rules, agree to be bound by them and the selection of the winners, which shall be final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes and/or these Official Rules. Acceptance of Prizes constitutes permission to use each winner’s name, likeness, biography, and Prizes won for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation, except where prohibited or restricted by law.
The entrants release, discharge, and hold harmless Sponsor and Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, and their respective parents, affiliates, successors, subsidiaries, assigns, representatives and agents, including advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees (“Released Parties”), from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes, the administration of the Sweepstakes and the use or misuse of any prize received in this Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, the following: (i) late, lost, incomplete, delayed, misdirected or unintelligible entries, (ii) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes, (iii) any damage to the entrant’s computer, related equipment, data files, and software resulting from entrant’s downloading of information regarding the Sweepstakes or participation in the Sweepstakes, and (iv) any personal or other injury resulting from use and enjoyment of the prizes.
Each winner agrees that the Released Parties have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize.
Sponsor shall only use the personally identifiable information obtained from the entrants in order to fulfill the Prize, and in accordance with its privacy policy, which may be found at: https://privacy.thewaltdisneycompany.com/en/
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Sweepstakes in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including, but not limited to, acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the Sweepstakes as originally planned.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should a virus, bug, computer problem or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may prohibit you from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a Prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking or employing other unfair practices or by abusing other entrants or the representatives of Sponsor.
WINNERS LIST
The names of the winners will be posted on https://books.disney.com/disney-books-social-sweepstakes/ within sixty (60) days after the Sweepstakes end date.
These Official Rules will be posted on https://books.disney.com/disney-books-social-sweepstakes/ for at least thirty (30) days after winners are notified or announced.
